Our mission is to provide the highest quality of care and services to individuals living with HIV or AIDS.

Diggs cares for those who need assistance so that they can enjoy a sense of self-sufficiency, love, and companionship in a secure and familiar environment.

We feel that not only the quality of service is important, but the quality of friendship has a direct effect on the mental attitude and physical well-being of our clients.

  Living with HIV is much different now than it was in the early 1990s. For many people, new treatments and aggressive therapies have substantially slowed the progression of HIV to AIDS. That does not mean that living with HIV/AIDS is not a challenge, but it does not have to be overwhelming.

Diggs  Miracle Care, is a non-profit Aids Service Organization (ASO) which specializes in providing testing, prevention education, linkage to care, transportation and advocacy for clients in Volusia and Flagler county.

All services at Diggs are free and confidential.  Our trained staff and volunteers offer clients support with many issues related to living with HIV or AIDS.

Why get tested for HIV?

Getting tested and knowing your HIV status is important in many ways. First, HIV disease commonly involves a lengthy period — as long as a decade — between infection and the development of symptoms. If you know you are HIV-infected, you can seek medical care and be monitored for changes in your condition long before symptoms appear. The earlier the start of treatment, the greater the delay in the onset of complications associated with HIV or AIDS.

Second, being aware of your HIV status enables you to take the necessary precautions to prevent spreading HIV to others.

If you test HIV-negative, talk with us — confidentially or anonymously — about how to avoid HIV infection in the future. We are here to support you and offer resources when needed.
